I'd be completely happen with a panic because it would most likely lead to a
fix. But given no failures in two weeks I'm not optimistic about getting a
crash dump with the GENERIC-DEBUG kernel.

When 14.4 is released I'm inclined to run my normal custom kernel config on the
build server and see if I the issue manifests without the DEBUG checks.
