No, it was already set to that in bsd.port.mk.
PLIST?= ${PKGDIR}/pkg-plist
Why did you need to override it. You also should have used USE_GTK
rather than do the gtk-config12 subsitiution yourself. Otherwise you
were missing key dependencies. Please review the comment sections at the
top of /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.*.mk.
