That is a little worrying; I see the ports commit 69ce5e29a540b5 applies the
Makefile-only patch. That is committed to the ports repo, right now.

Are you saying this is making subtly-broken py27 builds for people?

Aside: I'm just a random person who happened to hit this issue on a 14.0
upgrade. I have "DEFAULT_VERSIONS+=3Dssl=3Dopenssl" in my /etc/make.conf, t=
oo.
