thanks for your useful answer.
actually, my 3rd machine has two nic cards.
the bnc is for original segment, they are all FreeBSD.
the rj-45 is for the new segment that connect ME and
the 3rd machine together.
i assign different ip number for the two nic of the
3rd machine. but i still can not ping ME from the 3rd
machine and vis versa. needless to say to access the
Internet form ME machine.
at this moment, i still do not use hub, (may be this
is the real problem.) since someone says me that just
cross the signal wire of rj-45 cable can connect two
machine together, a peer-to-peer.
