That's normal.  There are really only two files there, the rest should just
be links to one of these.  What does 'du /stand' tell you?

Your shutdown is not happening cleanly.  You may have a hardware bogon that's
not resulting in the clean flag being written.

You can just throw all of /stand away, it's not necessary.
