After my kernel update (pkgbase style) today I noticed that the built-in
ethernet was detected. After the overall update, trying it for some basic
operation looks to be working. (My context is normally limited to basic
operation.) Up to this point I'd been using a USB3 dongle for Ethernet
for this system.
