In a similiar situation I partially solved it in a somewhat lame way by
setting fsck in /etc/rc to fsck -f -y (by memory)
This way on every reboot it would perform a full fsck with a yes to repair.
Also be sure to use soft updates on any partiton that would likely have active
writes when switched off.
