I have the same problem, it's ACPI related.  If you add the line:

hint.acpi.0.disabled="1"

to /boot/loader.conf and reboot, the ACPI module will not be loaded.  See if 
you then get a /dev/fd0 device that works, while giving up the ACPI 
funcionality.
