Yes, i tried it and here what i got:
sndstat:

Mixers:
0: Intel High Definition Audio AD1981
1: Virtual Mixer

and mixer shows following:

mixer -f /dev/mixer0
Recording source: 

mixer -f /dev/mixer1
Mixer synth    is currently set to 100:100
Mixer pcm      is currently set to 100:100
Recording source: 


Oops, i don't have any vol setting :(
