OK, I am writing a script to create email lists- and another to destroy them. Could not write to the aliases file, so I changed the permissions. BAD IDEA. Well, I got the email system working again when I restored (?) permissions. But now it is only writable by the owner, root. Hmmm, do I REALLY want a script accessed by all the world to run as root? Any discussion on this matter? -- end Respectfully, Kirk D Bailey +---------------------"Thou Art Free." -Eris-----------------------+ | http://www.howlermonkey.net mailto:highprimate@howlermonkey.net | | KILL spam dead! http://www.scambusters.org/stopspam/#Pledge | | http://www.tinylist.org +--------+ mailto:grumpy@tinylist.org | +------------------Thinking| NORMAL |Thinking----------------------+ +--------+ --------------------------------------------- Introducing NetZero Long Distance 1st month Free!
