Beware that FreeBSD does not currently support the SCSI interface on
DEC3000 series machines. It should be able to run diskless. See also
the HARDWARE.TXT file for FreeBSD-4.0 and -current.

What I've been using to boot FreeBSD on my DEC3000/40 is:

sandpiper:\
:ht=ethernet:ha=08002B3C6145:\
:ip=192.168.200.19:sm=255.255.255.0:sa=192.168.200.22:\
:hd="/usr/sandpiper":bf=netboot:rp="192.168.200.22:/usr/sandpiper":vm=rfc1048:

But I think there might be SRM firmware out there that just does not do
the right thing to tftp. This might mean you need a CD to upgrade your
firmware.
