If they are only mirroring content, they should not be affected. If they are mirroring the doc sources, and then building the HTML webpages from the DocBook sources, then they apparently already have some kind of build framework to convert DocBook to HTML. I guess they'll just need to build/install libxslt, and rebuild the utilities that need it from the DocBook->HTML conversion chain.
