It seems libgda is now in /usr/X11R6/lib/libgda-2.so.3
and the system used to think /usr/local/lib/libgda-2.so.2
is where it should be thus:

checking for pkg-config... /usr/local/bin/pkg-config
checking for gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4.0 libgda >= 1.1.99... Requested 'libgda >=
1.1.99' but version of libgda is 1.0.4

configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >= 2.4.0 libgda >=
1.1.99) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment
variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can
find them.
===>  Script "configure" failed unexpectedly.

Anyway, there may need to be an 'adjustment' to the ports...
