I upgraded my work laptop, whic I use also as my primary work desktop machine this weekend. It was happily runing 4.3 RC, now I have a world of troubles :-( It has 2 pcmcia cards in it. One is a 3COM 3CCM556 modem. With this card in a slot, the mmachine will not boot at all!. It hangs at the PCCARD init message. The second is a Linksys EC2T ethernet card. I can boot the machine with this card in it, but any atemmpt to use it results in "Devide Timeout" message. I upgraded by cvsup'ing. "make buildworld", "make buildkernel", "make installworld", and "make installkernel". I did have to add one device to the kernel config relative to the ethernet card. HELP! what should I try next. -- Stan Brown stanb@panix.com 843-745-3154 Charleston SC -- "Be careful not to step in the Microsoft." -- John Denker To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
