FreeBSD pc-28120 5.2.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE #0: Mon Feb 23 20:45:55 GMT 2004 root@wv1u.btc.adaptec.com:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
>Description:
Modifying the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xresources file with the entry xlogin*background: colour works fine for the default colours in rgb.txt
However adding a non-default colour and restarting xdm causes non-local machines (x-terms, xwin32 clients etc) to not receive the new colour with an error in /var/log/xdm.log stating: Warning: Color name "NewColour" is not defined

Running standard FreeBSD build of XFree86 4.3
However, this DOES work on the local machine (IE the machine running xdm)
>How-To-Repeat:
     As above
>Fix:
Unknown - may be for XFree86
