I think an initial commit pass done strictly by a script, even if it
has some drawbacks, could help reduce diffs against the other BSDs
as they could use the same script.

PS: I'm sure I do more embedded work than most others, and actively
support "64K split I&D" microcontrollers and DSP architectures.
I share "Terry's problem", I don't share "Terry's solution".

This process is long overdue, anyone wishing to know more details
of my opinion should do a google search for discussions we had six
years ago.
