POSIX 1003.2-1992, section 4.53.3 says:
``The following options SHALL be supported by the implementation:
-f Do not prompt for confirmation. Do not write diagnostic
messages or modify the exit status in the case of
non-existent operands. Any previous occurrences of the
-i option shall be ignored.
... ''
The code seems correct now ...
