> > Anyone heard of this API before ? Yes, I think it is the API for updating the firmware inside the Pentium Pro chip, it should be documented by Intel someplace. If you look in most Award Pentium Pro BIOS's you'll see a setting for ``CPU update enable'' or some such name. The BIOS will complain about a CPUID that it does not know about, for example sticking a 0x619 into early revision ASUS P6NP5 boards will give you a nice warning during POST about not being able to update the CPU, fixed by flashing to the latest BIOS. -- Rod Grimes rgrimes@gndrsh.aac.dev.com Accurate Automation, Inc.
