Whats the difference between a 1542CP (yours) and a 1542CF (mine)?
Here is some of my dmesg:
...
FreeBSD 4.2-RELEASE #0: Wed Nov 22 12:04:23 EST 2000
...
aha0 at port 0x330-0x333 irq 10 drq 5 on isa0
aha0: AHA-1542CF FW Rev. C.0 (ID=45) SCSI Host Adapter, SCSI ID 7, 16 CCBs
...
Waiting 8 seconds for SCSI devices to settle
sa0 at aha0 bus 0 target 4 lun 0
sa0: <SONY SDT-5000 3.26> Removable Sequential Access SCSI-2 device
sa0: 3.300MB/s transfers
...
Works fine.
