On it;  I'll reboot as soon as buildworld dedicded to rebuild half my obj
despite only applied the one change.  I thought on main this is all
incremental these days. *sigh*.

I assume there is no way to fix this manually as a user (change the settings
from within loader) at least for the next stage (kernel)?

I don't know much about all this;  I tried vidcontrol later from the console
to at least be able to read a few more lines only to get some ioctl errors.
