G'day Carl, > > Can I install FreeBSD on drive D (1.9 GB)or other logical drives? yes you can. Indeed, I did just such a thing Sunday night on my wife's PC - although, it was Win98 on 3G primary partition and FreeBSD3.3 on the 1G extended partition. My paranoia was unfounded regarding backups (did a full backup of the data on the Win98 partiton before starting), and the FreeBSD install proceeded smoothly thanks to Grog's excellent advice in "The Complete FreeBSD - 3rd Edition". I installed the base system for X-User, Linux emulation, then loaded fvwm95 (keeping the interface similar to ease the transition) and then loaded Corel WordPerfect 8 - and it worked first time! WP8 is a bit slow on a P90 with 'only' 40MbRAM, but once started is quite spritely. And having access to the Win98/FAT32 disk is "nice" too :') hth, haxxa To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
