Morning all ...

I saw the previous thread, and ignorantly didn't follow it ... and now I
can't seem to find it in the archives to go through it now that its hit me
...

This morning, after 5 days of uptime, my server got hit with:

Jun 6 09:52:19 pluto /kernel: fxp0: device timeout
Jun 6 09:52:19 pluto /kernel: fxp0: SCB timeout: 0x60 0x0 0x0 0x800
Jun 6 09:52:19 pluto /kernel: fxp0: DMA timeout
Jun 6 09:52:19 pluto last message repeated 2 times
Jun 6 09:52:19 pluto /kernel: fxp0: SCB timeout: 0x10 0x0 0x80 0x800
Jun 6 09:52:19 pluto /kernel: fxp0: SCB timeout: 0x10 0x0 0x80 0x800
Jun 6 09:52:33 pluto /kernel: fxp0: device timeout

Now, previous to this, I got a bunch of 'resource errors':

Jun 6 08:31:33 pluto 5433[5736]: [7] ERROR: Cannot insert a duplicate key into unique index trackip_idx
Jun 6 08:33:23 pluto sendmail[5772]: h56BX2cm005772: SYSERR(root): doworklist: cannot fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
Jun 6 08:34:11 pluto sendmail[148]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): daemon: cannot fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
Jun 6 08:34:36 pluto sendmail[148]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): daemon: cannot fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
Jun 6 08:36:33 pluto last message repeated 2 times
Jun 6 08:46:36 pluto last message repeated 29 times
Jun 6 08:56:13 pluto last message repeated 20 times
Jun 6 09:03:00 pluto last message repeated 16 times
Jun 6 09:03:06 pluto sshd[139]: error: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
Jun 6 09:03:16 pluto sshd[139]: error: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable

The problem is, what 'Resource' is unavailable?

I have maxproc set to ~6k right now, and 'normal system' runs with <1k ...
I'm suspecting that the two are related somehow ... ?
