I can't answer for the original poster, but when I started working at
one of my jobs some time ago, a lot of the people there thought that 386BSD
and FreeBSD were the same animal.  I have a feeling that the person heard
that 386BSD was no longer being supported, but it got changed to FreeBSD
in the translation.
