Was the "young girl"/"virgin" mixup > also from the Hebrew? No, that's in the xtian Greek translation of Isaiah (the original Septuagint, by Jewish scholars hired by Ptolomy, was only on the Torah.) The Hebrew text says "almah", which means young woman of child-bearing age. If it had meant "virgin" it would say "besulah."
