Yep, but its a little more difficult than the other options. It is the slowest, since a FreeBSD install varies in size (ie, do you want X?). I'd recommend buying/burning the CDs, either from WC CDROM or another group (e.g., cheapbytes, linuxmall). If you really want to use the modem, check out the handbook (freebsd.org/handbook), The Complete FreeBSD, or the Comprehensive Guide to FreeBSD (http://www.vmunix.com/fbsd-book/). You might be able to find a few tutorials to boot (I haven't checked, but this may be useful: http://people.freebsd.org/~rpratt/). regards, Ben On Fri, 1 Dec 2000 eduard_71@aport.ru wrote: > Hi! > > How can I install FreeBSD in my computer if I have a > dial-up connect with Internet? > Is it possible? > > Eduard. > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message > ------------------------------------------ "Open Source?" - Press any key to continue To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
