Hello, I downloaded the latest hdac driver from Ariff's and i'm unable to play any sound :( When I load the module: pcm0: <Intel 82801F High Definition Audio Controller> mem 0xd000c000-0xd000ffff at device 27.0 on pci0 pcm0: <HDA Codec: Realtek ALC260> pcm0: <HDA Driver Revision: 20060924_023> Mixer: Mixer vol is currently set to 100:100 Mixer pcm is currently set to 100:100 Recording source: mic /dev/sndstat Installed devices: pcm0: <Intel 82801F High Definition Audio Controller> at memory 0xd000c000 irq 16 kld snd_hda [20060924_023] (1p/0r/1v channels default) pciconf -lv http://nullpt.googlepages.com/pciconf.txt I set it to 100 and plugged in an headset but can't hear anything. Is there any low level way I can test this? I'm afraid that there might be some trick with this laptop (key combination or smth) that im missing. Thanks in advance :) On 9/25/06, Joel Dahl <joel@freebsd.org> wrote: > > On Mon, 2006-09-25 at 18:42 +0100, Alexandre Vieira wrote: > > Hello folks, > > > > I just went -CURRENT for the first time and everything seems fairly > equal to > > 6.1-STABLE. > > > > I have an Acer Aspire 1644WLMi. > > > > ACPI doesn't seem to work very well.
