Hiding the list from the user (I'm assuming make.conf is > visible and bsd.*.mk are not) is just plain wrong. And take into consideration, that /etc/make.conf won't get overwritten by "make installword". We should think carefully what is "static" and belongs to /usr/share/mk and what will be overwritten by users or administrators. And it's nice to have a common place for such changes, like stuff under /etc. This is the central point, where I tweak settings, especially in make.conf. I suggest, don't spread that stuff around, if it's not "generic". -- Andreas Klemm http://www.FreeBSD.ORG/~andreas What gives you 90% more speed, for example, in kernel compilation ? http://www.FreeBSD.ORG/~fsmp/SMP/akgraph-a/graph1.html "NT = Not Today" (Maggie Biggs) ``powered by FreeBSD SMP'' To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
