Aren't you thinking of DB-2.0 from SleepyCat? Sendmail is a different kettle of fish. > Specifically, it's ability to change a UCB licensed program into > a pseudo-GPL'ed program? Assuming you're talking about sendmail (which is what we're talking about :-) - in the UCB License, where does it prohibit you from adding extra restrictions? I see no conflict between the original UCB copyrighted code and the entire backage being under a more restricted "umbrella" license. Yes, it's unfortunate that there are extra restrictions, but that's life. Considering how sendmail development is now being funded, we came out of it pretty well I think. > > Terry Lambert > terry@lambert.org > --- > Any opinions in this posting are my own and not those of my present > or previous employers. > Cheers, -Peter -- Peter Wemm <peter@netplex.com.au> Netplex Consulting To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
