A systemwide mechanism for reporting a recommended IO size. We already have=

of these in the form of the GEOM stripe size, but you are wary of adjusting=
 it.
I'd also be perfectly happy with a sysctl that sets a minimum stripe size a=
nd
defaults to zero, but is overridden to 4096 in /etc/sysctl.conf on the inst=
all
ISO.
