Particular places to look if looking under the mount points doesn't help: 1. in / itself, look for extra kernels and core dumps. 2. in /tmp look for everything :) 3. if you recently installed the linux compatiblility, be aware that it generally sticks it in /compat, which is usually not mounted/symlinked elsewhere, and it's larger than something that should be sitting on your / partition. 4. check /stand . 5.
