I agree to this. According to 2, we should also install license.txt. Particularly because of an eventual package, but I think it's something we should do anyway with this port. Feel free to do these changes without sending me patches. :-) (On a side note, I have a problem with licenses. I used to work for a computer mag in Norway putting together their cover CD-Roms. Every tiny little license had to comply of course, or I needed to get explicit permissions etc. Did that for half a year. It tipped me over, I hate software licenses now. I probably try to be too careful in not breaking any licenses. Sigh.) > BTW NO_PACKAGE is still necessary since this ports couldn't build a package that > make an uid it needs. > Of cource this could be solved, I'll work on it later. Yes. I have an update pending to update the port + create some children for the different types of clients (perl, java). I'm not really satisfied with the port as it is. I'll fix the user/group package show-stopper if you want, but if you have patches for it please send them. Who of you will actually use this port? My first goal was to make mod_log_spread available for FreeBSD, but I didn't get there yet. It took *quite* a while to get spread commited in the first place too. :| Would a Secure Spread port be of interest, BTW? Cheers, -- Anders.
