Subject: TORISAN "CD-ROM CDR-C3G/2.13" not supported ?
Hi, i've tried to install FreeBSD 3.2 from your CDs sold in the Bookshops.
But some strange things happen:
1. Installation via booting CD on my Torisan CD-ROM failed.
The Debug screen told me something about a corrupt file.
2. Installation via booting on my Toshiba DVD runs :)
3. Changing Slave and Master configuration of the CD-ROMs has no effect
4. Using only the Torisan as Master and no 2nd CD Drive leads to an error
that no CD-ROM drive is present!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. Mounting the Torisan and accessing it, produces errors that leads to
IO/busy exceptions and no further access until reboot (see below)
Some idea? I dont want to put my DVD-ROM into my server, if i need
to access a CD....
Thanx,
Jan
