I think that Michael made it clear in his reply to my reply
to his message that you replied to (ouch! :) that his confusion
stemmed mainly from the fact that he was not aware of sendmail(8)'s
schizophrenia :P That is, he did not know that sendmail(8) could
act as an MUA and/or MSA besides its normal functioning as an MTA.
