Hmm, battery backed up RAM was an option.

And on our Philips P4000 & P9000 mini's. Called powerfail restart.
P9000 ran SVR2, heavily modified by Philips.

As usual, nothing.. ;-) Simply use core memory. Power? Who needs power?
