Does anyone have a manual for taking apart a Compaq Presario 1620? The connector for the power supply is very loose. I can't get it to charge without holding the plug to one side. I want to get at that plug where it connects inside the laptop. I've looked at these without success: http://www.compaq.com/athome/support/msgs/1600XL/7diskdrive.html http://h18027.www1.hp.com/athome/support/msgs/1270-1675/510.html According to this, I need to take out the motherboard. http://www.delanoscientific.com/cpq1675.html My next step appears to be to get the upper CPU cover removed, which you can sort of see in this picture: http://h18027.www1.hp.com/athome/support/msgs/1270-1675/newpage2.htm But my laptop isn't as shown there. Clues please. -- Dan Langille : http://www.langille.org/ BSDCan - http://www.bsdcan.org/
