See my other posts on this thread.  I've seen this work "sometimes" when
your mail server has multiple PTR (reverse DNS) records.  Sometimes it
works, sometimes it doesn't.
The solution is to use 1 PTR record per IP.

If that's not your situation, then I'm not sure what's wrong.
