It is possible happen due some issue of vt(4), but panic and bt show problem with lock which was used right before that place: vt_upgrade() call VT_LOCK(vd), VT_UNLOCK(vd), then vt_resize(vd) vt_resize(vd) try to VT_LOCK(vd) and fail.
