https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D214449 Bug ID: 214449 Summary: Had a crash : system otherwise works okay Product: Base System Version: 11.0-RELEASE Hardware: amd64 OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: bourne.identity@hotmail.com CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org CC: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org I am running a FreeBSD 11 Release (amd64) machine in which practically all = the hardware is new (except the CPU which is an AMD Athlon X2 270 Regor, about 3 years in use). My board is a Gigabyte GA970-D3SP. Till a couple of days back, I was facing a couple of issues on this system. Quite possibly, the culprit was a bad NVidia graphics card. I replaced that card with a new Sapphire Radeon card, and things have been much better. For= 2 days since putting in the new card, the machine ran with no failure anywher= e - but then in the afternoon today, it suddenly crashed once. The system gener= ated a vmcore (about 700 MB). Upon reboot (and fsck), the system has been running well again. I have no skills debugging core files. But I wish to solicit expert help in trying to find out the root cause of the crash. Any help would be greatly be appreciated. Thanks Manish Jain --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
