Hi !

Consider a "minimal" machine "B" created populating a new disk on an other
machine "A" and using this new disk to boot "B" :
* amd64 (both machines)
* 15.1-p1 system
* basic customization : hostname, IP, ssh keys
* copy of the port tree, checked out on "A" => commit
e04b81ba66c8f185ffc21337c18161ac69bff145 (HEAD -> main, origin/main,
origin/HEAD) Date:   Wed Aug 5 15:38:43 2026 +0200

At that point, "B" is used with ssh session from "A", and "B" has no graphic
capabilities.

After installing the dependencies,
make -C /usr/ports/graphics/gdk-pixbuf2 install
fails (see attachment log-make-gdk-pixbuf2).

The solution I used was to by-pass some test with the patch patch-Makefile.diff
below :
--------------------
--- ./Makefile.orig 2025-09-22 07:49:53.000000000 +0000
+++ /Makefile 2026-08-06 14:19:08.864915000 +0000

I DO NOT like to skip tests, but it sounds theses tests are impossible to exec
before some graphic capabilities apears...
And, IMHO, it should be possible to bootstrap a configuration compiling from
source and scratch.

Thanks !
