At this stage there is only one pending bug fix that is related to changes post BIND 8.2.2-P5 and that one requires invalid answers to be sent from a master server. All the remaining bug fixes address issues that are in BIND 8.2.2-P5 and earlier. That being said I prefer to not see beta release make it into OS bases as those betas tend to hang around longer on more machines as a result. As someone who's job is to support/develop BIND there were some beta releases that I wish I could just erase from every machine on the planet.
