Indeed :) I have an X1950 in my desktop system, the only driver that supports it is the VESA one (which is very slow). According to the X.org devs no X1000+ Radeon chipset works with the open source driver :( If you are running i386 there is a hacky port of the fglrx driver - http://www.fglrx-freebsd.com/index.php - it worked for me in my old system (i386/Radeon X800) but my new system is amd64 so I can't use it. Hopefully the guy will be able to create an amd64 version soon. -- Daniel O'Connor software and network engineer for Genesis Software - http://www.gsoft.com.au "The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from." -- Andrew Tanenbaum GPG Fingerprint - 5596 B766 97C0 0E94 4347 295E E593 DC20 7B3F CE8C [-- Attachment #2 --] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBF3O0B5ZPcIHs/zowRAi1jAJ93mlniyhim+GY7rvtipTr6fuVOowCeNndl 0sR3ZUzSF7dAtAEkJgCZyro= =4Ei2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----help
