This might be the same reaction as a scriptkiddie or someone evil who wants to abuse you being away status on your work. On the otherhand, you can easily defend yourself against it. Don't send out, out of the office announcements. If you do, just don't include any information like phonenumbers or names, just give a general "you can also mail info@company.tld for more information" message, and make sure that your account is not named the same as matt or matthew... One more thing... please stop mail delivery, if you do need to send out of office announcements, for mailinglists.
