I am trying to install FreeBSD 5.2. My problem is that after being questioned about whether I really want to carry on with the installation, I get a message saying "the root filesystem could not be created" Also, I have three CD and DVD drives, and when questioned about which to use, I haven't got the slightest idea. But, in any case, I have tried with the three, and the result is the same. My system is set as: Primary channel: Main HD (160 Gig) as master, and a CD-RW as slave Secondary channel: A 60 Gig HD as master and a DVD-ROM as slave. All the above in a ULTRA ATA card. There is as well a master DVD+RW in the primary channel of the motherboard. I am trying to install 5.2 on the second disk (secondary channel). Thanks for reading- Teilhard
