Hello, I have a Intel Server Board S3000AHV, which has an ATI ES1000 VGA Chip with 16B onboard. I have SC_PIXEL_MODE and VESA in my kernel, but 'vidconsole -i mode' shows only one! line: 24 (0x018) 0x00000001 T 80x25 8x16 0xb000 32k 32k 0x00000000 32k Does vidconsole (SC) rely on the VGA BIOS? If so probably it's not the best designed VGA BIOS. Are there any other ways to get 800x600 Text console? The funny thing is that accessing the EFI shell(or even just booting) the board uses a higher resolution (800x600 I think), so it doesn't use the promoted mode itself! Thanks, -Harry
