Folks,
My VAIO F270 spends most of it's life hibernating (to memory).
It connects to my home network twice a day, after about a 12 hour interval
each time. One of the first things it does is sync up to the time server
on my network (using ntpdate). Each time, ntpdate reports that it's had
to step the time 8 to 12 seconds.
I assume this means that while my laptop is hibernating it's losing almost
a second per hour. Is this fairly standard, or do the Vaio's just have poor
time keeping ability?
