Thanks for this news Justin. I've been reading a thread which is only 3 weeks old at: http://news.gw.com/freebsd.aic7xxx/749 and this talks about problems with a SuperMicro X5SS8-GM mobo and Maxtor Atlas drives. I was considering buying exactly that combination until I read this thread! Do you happen to know if this combination of hardware will work, or can you recommend drives which are known to have worked reliably?
