The x86-64 port isn't very far along, though FreeBSD/i386 should run on the
hardware, it just won't take full advantage of it.  I've heard a rumor that we
can now load a very simple kernel and that can do very simple I/O over the
serial console on IA-64 hardware, which hopefully means we are close to single
user on IA64 hardware.  However, you will want to get confirmation on that..
