You may want to contact Dag-Erling Smorgrav (des@FreeBSD.org). He runs 
tinderboxes on i386, alpha, sparc64, and ia64. His systems are running 
-current, however (search the freebsd-current archives for "tinderbox" and 
you'll find a lot of messages). I don't know the specifics, but it seems to 
only make world. Such a tinderbox probably wouldn't be very useful for 
-stable.
