Since some recent changes to the CURRENT kernel, x11/nividia-kmod/driver is no longer working. Either kernel module nvidia-modeset.ko/nvidia.ko reject to load with a failure when both the following OIDs are set to ZERO: debug.link_elf_obj_leak_locals=0 debug.link_elf_leak_locals=0 or, if leftto their default (ONE), the kernel module loads results in a blank/black screen, with a carret like one on the console in left upper corner and a immovable mousepointer. On reboot (reboot or shutdown -r now), FreeBSD CURRENT never reboots, last message on console is something everything has been synced. I have to switch OFF and ON the box manually. Since I have a reasonable modern hardware, GPU is a nVidia GTX 5060Ti, I assume that x11-drivers/xf86video-nv isn't an appropriate choice. I'm somehow drifting like a corpse in space here and like to ask whether there is a suitable interim solution at hand whilst the problem with the nVidia BLOB could be fixed? Thanks and best wishes, ohhelp
