Hmm... might be a bit late, got some tips on how to fix it by
removing /usr/src/sys/compile/WHATEVERKERNEL
Anyway for what it's worth, here is the output:
$ find / -name linux_proto.h -exec ident {} \;
/usr/src/sys/alpha/linux/linux_proto.h:
